Top things to do – Sao Paulo 2025
A City of Diversity
We absolutely love this city. It’s Brazil’s largest with over 12 million people – a bit like New York, only better! . If you’ve read a few of our posts or browsed our website you will know that Ronaldo and I love Brazil, and Sao Paulo is one of the many reasons why.
Sao Paulo is known for its remarkable diversity, with large communities of Italians, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Lebanese, and Syrian descendants. The city is also home to the largest Japanese community outside Japan, concentrated in the Liberdade neighbourhood, which is filled with Japanese shops, restaurants, and cultural festivals.
São Paulo’s multicultural makeup has fostered a vibrant arts scene, reflected in places like the São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP) and Ibirapuera Park. It’s a truly wonderful city.
