John's Home School Tuition
I provide an excellent and affordable homeschooling program in Mathematics and Science, available on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
My Home School Provision
My 60-minute lessons are pre-planned for each half term and include a homework sheet, along with access to personalised feedback from me.
After registering, you will receive a personal learning space provided by TutorBird. Here, you can access my calendar and book your lessons. It also serves as a convenient space for communication with me. Parents and carers are automatically copied into all student correspondence.
All lessons are conducted via Zoom. I have experience teaching students with a variety of learning needs. Camera use is encouraged but not mandatory for nervous learners. I utilise breakout rooms to provide one-to-one support and conduct assessment for learning.
All lessons include a recap of first principles so they are suitable for learners joining at any point in the term. I am also available to provide feedback. GCSE lessons focus on exam technique and use plenty of past paper questions.
All lessons are suitable for those studying the AQA, Cambridge GCSE or iGCSE, or the Pearson Edexcel GCSE or iGCSE specifications. KS3 follows the National Curriculum.

About John
BSc Honours, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE – Physics). Safeguarding is my absolute priority. I hold a blank Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (DBS) maintained on the update service, and I hold a recent child safeguarding certificate. Please also see our safeguarding policy at the footer of this page.
Classroom practitioner
I have a BSc Honours in combined STEM, PGCE Physics with QTS. I am also an experienced classroom practitioner in England, teaching mathematics up to higher GCSE level, and physics up to A-Level.
Updated DBS
Safeguarding is extremely important. I will always have a discussion with parents of a prospective student to clarify expectations during my lessons.
Online Lessons via Zoom
My lessons are interactive and immersive using zoom pro. Small group classes of up to 6 students. Lessons are recored for quality and safety purposes. Breakout rooms are used for 1 to 1 support and feedback.
